Steve Wynn Cleared of Foreign Agent Allegations by US Appeals Court Decision

Former CEO of Wynn Resorts, Steve Wynn, may face another court case after being accused of lobbying the Trump administration on behalf of China. The previous case asked Wynn to register under the Foreign Agent Registration Act and accused him of requesting that ex-POTUS Donald Trump deport Guo Wengui, a known dissident, back to China. A federal court ruled that Wynn did not have to register as a foreign agent as his ties with the Chinese government must have ended in 2017. However, the US Government is appealing this decision, claiming that it sets a dangerous precedent. Wynn was still a finance chairman of the Republican National Committee at the time of the Guo situation. The allegations state that Wynn contacted Trump personally, dined with him, and discussed the Guo matter multiple times. Last year, Wynn was also accused of intimidating a witness who testified against him and his company.
