IGSA Forms Committee to Propose AI Standards
The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA) has formed an Ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) Committee to provide guidelines, policies, and standards for the use of AI in the global gaming industry. The committee will be responsible for creating AI algorithm fairness standards to ensure that any decisions made by AI systems are fair and equitable to human users. Founding members of the committee include Aristocrat Gaming, AXES.ai, Light & Wonder Inc, and Playtech Plc. Nimish Purohit, IGSA’s vice chairman and global vice president of quality for gaming at slot machine maker Aristocrat Gaming, has been appointed as acting chair of the Ethical AI Committee. The committee aims to establish frameworks that empower regulators working to update their jurisdictional requirements in the AI arena.
